26th February 2022 Missing a roof

Today with my little k9 companion in tow I checked on a couple of my barn owl sites. To my surprise and disappointment I discovered that one of the barns with one of my nest boxes inside was missing part of its roof.

Unfortunately the nest box was left exposed to the elements and not being waterproof left it very vulnerable. So following a phone conversation with my good friend Alex Powell we arranged to move the nest box to a drier part of the barn. Thankfully it is now situated in the barn with a roof overhead.
