Barn Owl nest box fitted

Today with the help of my old school maths teacher Julian Harper we managed to erect another Barn Owl nest box to a splendid old Welsh Oak tree. This particular site is on the edge of my village situated on one of the bigger local farms.

I have high hopes for this nest box due to Barn Owl activity in the area. The farmer regularly hears them at night and occasionally he has seen them hunting during daylight.
