Ysgol Coed Eva
As a group we discussed what type of nest boxes would suit Coed Eva Primary School grounds and following a tour around the grounds it was decided on the following. We have decided to split the after school club into 6 teams. Teams are Team Dormouse, Team Bat, Team Blue tit, Team Swift, Team Robin and Team House Sparrow. Out of these species selected 3 of them are in serious decline which is why we have selected them. I am confident after the tour of the school grounds of achieving our aim which is to attract at least one of the selected species within the first year. The children will now be extremely busy each Thursday after school constructing numerous nest boxes

We had a very productive afternoon with all six teams contributing to their individual cause. Team Swift had the most complicated design although team members overcame the drawings to produce quality work. All teams have now constructed the side pieces of their nest boxes and will start on the back and front next week.
