1st Pied Flycatcher eggs of 2022

First Pied Flycatcher eggs of 2022.

Unfortunately it looks like there are much fewer nests than last year. I had 43 pairs breeding in 2021 and it looks like it may be half that number this year. I do have lots of other nest boxes to monitor so hopefully it will be a more positive breeding season.

It was good to see a good size clutch of 10 Great tit eggs and numerous Blue tit and Nuthatch sat on eggs. Look forward to saturday and sunday when I can check on all my other sites.
