A very productive day today with an old mate Shaun Doughton. Shaun had the honour of fitting the 600th small nest box on Llanover estate. By the end of this month I should have close to 700 on the estate.
We also checked on 2 new Barn Owl sites both set in Barns on the estate. There was excellent news with both nest boxes housing a pair of Barn Owls all loved up preparing for the breeding season . I am hoping to have 7 to 8 pairs of nesting Barn Owls this year with half a dozen Tawny iwls also. Thanks for your help Shaun and I'm glad you managed to see 4 adult Barn Owls in one day.
