Just an update on a wildlife project that local businessman Sean O'Connor has started. Sean recently purchased some woodlands in NewInn with the intention of turning the very overgrown and neglected woods into a wildlife haven.
My involvement is to construct and install 30 small nest boxes to encourage woodland birds to nest in. I completed the first phase last month with the second phase of adding 2 Tawny Owl nest boxes finishing yesterday. I am very confident Sean will have at least one pair of Tawnies over time and potentially he may get two pairs.
